Study Centre
On the ground floor of the Herenvleugel along side of the Nieuwe Herengracht you can find the Study Centre. Here visitors of the museum and secondary school pupils can explore the different terrains of the Hermitage Amsterdam.
The Study Centre is free accessible for all visitors of the Hermitage Amsterdam.
Via 16 computers and touchscreens people can get more information regarding subjects like the exhibition and the collection of the Hermitage St. Petersburg.
People will also have access to the Film archives of the Hermitage Amsterdam and can, for example, watch coverage of prior exhibitions of the Hermitage Amsterdam.
Furthermore, the Study Centre houses the library of the Hermitage Amsterdam: handbooks and reference, pride of place is given to the collections of the Hermitage St. Petersburg and other Russian Museums.
These books cannot be checked out of the Study Centre, but they can be lend and read in the Study Centre. Via the adlib system visitors can search the complete register.
Every afternoon a special film programme drawn from the archive of the Hermitage Amsterdam is shown. Visitors can watch these films on the tiered seats with headphones.
During weekdays between 10 and 12 a.m. the Study Centre is reserved for the secondary school pupils. Here groups can prepare for their visit of the exhibition. In the afternoon and in the weekend the Study Centre is accessible for everyone.

Hermitage Amsterdam is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, Wednesdays to 8 pm. Closed on January 1st and December 25th
