Hans van Heeswijk
Hans van Heeswijk (1952) studied architecture at Delft University of Technology. He worked for the architectural firm of Aldo van Eyck and Theo Bosch in Amsterdam from 1981 - 1983. From 1983 – 1985, he worked for the architectural firm of Aldo and Hannie van Eyck in Amsterdam. In 1985, he founded the Hans van Heeswijk architectural firm in Amsterdam, in addition to serving as a member of many panels, boards and committees from 1985 onwards. His architectural firm has earned numerous awards, honours and nominations for commercial and industrial buildings, renovation projects and bridges.

Evelyne Merkx
Interior designer Evelyne Merkx opened her studio in 1985. In 1990, her collaboration with architect Patrice Girod eventually led to founding a joint architecture and interior design agency in 1998. The combination has defined her interpretation of space from the very beginning. Merkx + Girod design and define strategies for large and complex interiors for public buildings in which logistic and functional requirements are integrated in the spatial vision. Since 1985, countless projects involving new buildings, alterations, interiors, product development, styling, exhibitions and renovation have been carried out. The agency works for a diverse group of clients, including the Hema and Bijenkorf department stores, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw (renovation), the Government Buildings Agency (expansion of the Council of State and redesign of the Trêves hall and States hall), the Rijksmuseum, De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam, Textielmuseum Tilburg, ABN, the University of Amsterdam, Ernst & Young and private clients.

Michael van Gessel
Michael van Gessel studied Landscape Architecture and Gardening at Wageningen University. In 1979, he joined the Bureau B + B urban planning and landscape architecture firm and worked there until 1997, serving as director from 1991 onwards. In 1997, he became an independent consultant on landscape architecture and urban planning. He is the supervisor of projects including the Vondelpark renovation and the public space on IJburg in Amsterdam. He has won many Dutch and international awards for his work.
